Calendar updated, now with automatic DST!

The calendar for the Bango Management Tools reports has been re-worked to improve ease of use and add in some new functionality. The calendar and export options have been moved into a tool-bar at the top of the report; easy to access and with scope to add functionality to email a report (coming later this year).

New report UI with calendar and export options

The calendar and time-zone offset have been combined in one place with some useful pre-defined dates added to the calendar.

Let us pick the dates for you

We have added a drop-down menu to the calendar with a number of pre-defined dates in it. This means that you can quickly select dates without having to browse for them in the calendar date pickers. The menu is divided into sections by day, by week and by month. Each section has 5 options for the most recent time periods e.g. the by month sections has month to date, last month, month before last etc. It is also possible to pick which day of the week you want as the start day; we default to Sunday but you can select any day you want on the analytics settings page.

We have kept the default dates functionality so you can select a check-box if you want to save the current dates as your default date range. It is possible for admin users to set default dates for everyone on a package. This can be done on the analytics settings page. If a user has default dates set these will always be used over any default dates set by their admin.

Automate daylight saving time (DST)

Daylight saving is recognised at different times across the world, some places do not recognise any daylight saving. To make things a little easier for you we have added the option to calculate daylight saving in the Bango Management Tools reports based on your computer clock. There is no direct correlation between DST and time-zone so if you choose to automate DST we use your computer clock to calculate your time-zone and disable the time-zone menu. Simply select the check box if you want to automate DST for your reports.
