Report filters are no doubt a very useful tool, but until recently they could be slow to load for date ranges containing lots of traffic. We’ve recently we been working on improvements, which will improve the speed at which the filters load.
Not only are the filters faster to load, if you choose to filter your report data the report will load faster as well. Once a filter is applied to a report we are only returning a slice of the original data which matches the options set in the filter e.g. all traffic on BlackBerry devices with BlackBerry OS 6.0. Less data returned equals less time to load the report. Why not save some filters for popular segments of your traffic, once a filter is saved it will always be available in your reports with a single click of your mouse.

We’re constantly looking for ways to improve our Analytics and Payment reports, in which the filters play a big role. Do you have any ideas about new functionality you’d like to see in the filters?
